As an honors project, University of Arkansas undergraduate student, Baylie Day began compiling specimen data to start a database for the Arthropod Museum. The goal of the project was to increase use of the museum holdings by allowing greater accessibility to specimen data. The project started with Bombus (bumble bee) specimens but includes some additional Apidae. The products of the project include an Excel file with specimen data, an ArcGIS map displaying collection locations, as well as an Excel sheet template and guidelines for continuing the project.
